US HRB Price Edges Higher as Chinese Price Declines
The US domestic price for hot rolled band (HRB) rose by $10/t in the period 25 October to 15 November to $671/t, returning to the level seen at the start of the year, according to the latest SteelBenchmarker from World Steel Dynamics. This was the first increase in the US HRB price since September. Meanwhile, there were small declines, of $5/t and $8/t, in the Chinese and Western European HRB prices to $528/t and $626/t, respectively. The Western European price has now fallen to the lowest level since the end of August.
