Chinese Steel Sector and Manufacturing PMI Rise in November
From a six-month low of 52.3 in October, China’s steel sector Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) climbed to 53.1 in November, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. The increase came despite the introduction in mid-November of restrictions on the steel sector as part of the Chinese government’s winter anti-pollution measures.
Meanwhile, the country’s official manufacturing PMI edged slightly higher month-on-month from 51.6 to 51.8 in November, the National Bureau of Statistics reports.
