SSY has one of the most significant S&P teams in the industry, with an operation spanning eight countries around the world.

Contracting of newbuilding tonnage of all types is headed by some of the most experienced brokers in the business. Through close working relationships with major shipyards built up over many years, SSY has been able to facilitate a large volume of contracting business with several of the world's significant shipowning companies.

As well as offering extensive experience, market intelligence and negotiating skills, SSY provides consultative services to both shipyards and shipowners in support of contracts. Regular advice is given concerning commercial aspects of individual new designs and market appraisals made on behalf of investors.

SSY is also active in newbuilding resales, secondhand tonnage sales and demolition sales for all vessel types and sizes.

In addition to conventional sales contracts, SSY is involved with 'sale and charter back deals', leasing, hire-purchase, bareboat chartering and k/s financing.

Vessel valuations are another field of expertise provided by the S&P team to several shipowners and financial institutions around the world. SSY prides itself in its neutral approach to valuations based upon the concept of 'willing buyer willing seller'.
