US WEEKLY DATA: DISTILLATE STOCKS & IMPORTS DOWN AS SEASONAL DRAWDOWN BEGINS |

The latest Summary of Weekly Petroleum Data from the US Dept. of Energy reveals that, at the end of last week, distillate inventories totalled 149.6 Mbbl, a 2.2 Mbbl fall from the week before. Imports also fell significantly over the same period - from 354 kbpd to 130 kbpd. Mogas stocks were down 2.9 Mbbl to a total of 229 Mbbl, whilst imports rose slightly from 775 kbpd to 806 kbpd. Refinery inputs averaged 13.9 Mbpd, down 149 kbpd from the week before, as utilisation of the country’s units operated at 80.7% of total capacity. Crude inventories rose 1.4 Mbbl to reach 343 Mbbl.
