 NEWBUILDING DELIVERIES SLOW DOWN IN FEBRUARY |

According to SSY estimates, dry bulk carrier newbuilding deliveries experienced a deceleration in all vessel sizes in February, down from 6.94 Mdwt (86 vessels) in January to 4.34 Mdwt (43 vessels). Preliminary February data show that monthly Capesize newbuilding deliveries fell to 2.64 Mdwt (13 vessels) from 3.37 Mdwt (20 vessels) the previous month. Only one Capesize vessel has been sold for scrap over the past eight months. |
