IRON ORE SPOT PRICE SURGES TO A 17-MONTH HIGH |
02-03-2010 |
|
The FOB price of Indian iron ore of 63.5% Fe content has risen to $115/t, with the delivered price into China climbing to $140/t, the highest level since early September 2008, according to data from U-Metal. The delivered price is now $25 above the 2009 peak set at the end of last year. The latest price rises have been encouraged by rumours that the Indian government will raise export duties on the material. |
